The theme of this editorial, “dans de beaux draps” (in beautiful sheets) is a common French expression which is similar with “to be in hot water”. It usually means beeing in a bad and messy situation, entangled among lots of problems, having an accumulation of troubles. Sheets were often used to name clothes in French.
