Zine about the French expression “Porter la culotte” (“To wear the trousers”), which means having the dominant role in a couple. In French, it doesn’t literally refer to trousers, but rather to an item of clothing worn by men in the 18th century a kind of short breeches that stopped at the knee.

As the text describes changing fashions, I explore through mixing archival images of outfits and trends, the preconceptions associated with women’s and men’s clothing, blending different eras and styles.
